A Late Night Twitter Rant by Shervin Pishevar

Many were surprised to see a 21 hour tweet storm develop late on the night of February 6, 2018 in Shervin Pishevar’s account. After he resigned from Sherpa Capital, he hadn’t posted anything since December. His tweet storm made some ominous predictions for the future of the US economy. Most of his tweets were based on the overall idea that things are going to continue to decline.

Shervin Pishevar sent a tweet that mentioned that middlemen are a big part of the problem with the economy. He feels that when they are no longer relevant, then the global economy can work in a frictionless and efficient way. This is an idea that he has expressed in the past. He has fought for a society that is more open.

In another tweet, Shervin Pishevar forecasted that Microsoft, Google, Apple, Amazon, and Alphabet will fall. He mentions that these giants that are built on monopoly frameworks should fall because that is the way evolution works. He compares it to an old forest that burns down and makes room for the new trees to grow. While he doesn’t forecast good things for these giants, he did have a couple of positive predictions for smaller companies, like one that he has co-founded called Virgin Hyperloop. He says this company along with SpaceX are exceptions to the rule.

Another area where Shervin Pishevar believes there may be some expansion has to do with entrepreneurs using different methods of fundraising and digital currencies. When these smaller companies grow, they can spur the economy onward.

In his 27th tweet, he talks about Silicon Valley. He said that it was not just a physical place anymore. He believes that it is an idea that has gone viral. Being an entrepreneur is now a movement. While this does have some benefits, he feels that it is not good for domestic economic growth in the short term. Back in 2008, he mentioned that the American way became the global way. He says that talented individuals from other countries no longer need to go to the United States.

While the majority of the tweets Shervin Pishevar sent out were quite ominous, some were hopeful.

Roberto Santiago Shows How To Run A Mall The Right Way

Manaira Shopping Mall is a huge, beautiful mall in Joao Pessoa, Paraiba, Brazil. It was established by entrepreneur Roberto Santiago who is also the mall’s chief executive officer. He has been very successful at leading this mall. Even while Brazil’s economy was collapsing over the past few years this mall continued to grow in both revenues and profits. One of the keys, he says, is to always be aware of what the customers want and to continuously offer it to them. He also keeps Manaira Shopping Mall up to date with new shops, entertainment, and things to see.

Because of the role that Manaira Shopping Mall plays in Joao Pessoa, he has become one of the most famous entrepreneurs in all of Paraiba. His mall is now considered the heart of shopping and recreation in the entire state. He was born and raised in this city. He was also educated in it, earning a business administration degree from the University Centre of Joao Pessoa. He started out working for a home goods store after graduating which was Cafe Santa Rosa.

Roberto Santiago wasn’t satisfied working for other people, though. He left before too long in order to establish his own cartonnage company. His company designed and built cardboard boxes for other firms. They used his boxes to put their own products in for sale so these boxes were rather important to everyone as a marketing device. He made enough money at this endeavor that he was able to buy a big plot of land on which he would build a mall. The Manaira Shopping Mall opened its doors to its first customers in 1989 and it quickly became a very popular place to shop, eat, and hang out.

Roberto Santiago offers both indoor and outdoor entertainment options to patrons of Manaira Shopping Mall. Indoors there is a large arcade with an attached bowling alley. There are also fully upgraded movie theaters, multiple ballrooms, and other options. The mall also includes a couple of gyms so that people can get a good workout. There is also Domus Hall which can fit 10,000 people inside for concerts and other events.

The food court at Manaira Shopping Mall has always been a focal point of Roberto Santiago. He wants to offer something to everyone so there are cheap places to eat, midrange, and upscale restaurants as well.

Since opening Manaira Shopping Mall, Roberto Santiago has applied what he learned as a mall owner by opening a second mall on the other side of Joao Pessoa. This new one is named Mangeira Shopping Mall. This is a beautiful, contemporary mall which opened in 2015. It’s not as big as Manaira Shopping Mall but nonetheless it offers a broad range of stores, food, and entertainment which has been embraced by its local community.
